The Prosperity Movement: Bishop Mikel Brown

I am releasing a series of videos exposing false teacher, Mikel Brown, pastor of Christian Joy Center. When a person teaches a doctrine other than what the apostles taught, this a greater threat to unity than the disunity caused by avoiding such people. The true believers must defend the gospel! The bible warned us of false teachers and we must expose them.

Dear Shatoyia,

I thank God for you and your boldness in sharing the undeniable truth about the Gospel. I am writing to let you know just how encouraged and proud(in a Godly way) of how you stand up for whatis true about the Word of God and His will. I read your posts under the Christians at Ellis Blogs and how you so kindly corrected those who were misled to think we can only attain our salvation by works or self-will.

My name is Daphne N Brown and am an Ellis graduate(MBA). I have been very outspoken about my faith and the wrongs of the American politics and her involvement int he world, sharing and proclaiming it(the Gospel) without fear or shame and have been bruised but not silenced by many who have undermined, felt offended by my liberty and tried to stifle my freedom/urge to bless him at all times, not to mention Godly conversations in the Ellis Blogs.

Yes, there have been times where I felt into the trap of wanting to respond to theiingr attacks and I have often yielded to the temptation. And I had to repent- because deep in my heart I knew by virtue of being a Christian we share in his sufferings.

I have received numerous emails from Christians who were not bold enough to respond to the blogs and did not want to be perceived as or persecuted for being partisan- i.e sharing political and relgious views of the right.

Thye have rebuked me for leaning twoards Barack Obama and accused me supporting someone who encouraged rights to abortion and gay relationships. My response was- i find it ridiculous that hey would think that because they're GOP supporters God is pleased with thier associations. My main argument was- it does not mean a thing if you claim to be against rights above, nd yet break all the other rules- Because if you do, you are guilty of breaking them all.
I believe that no matter who is in power(President), God is still Hily and Sovereign and he is no repsector of persons.
I know I digressed a bit- but my main goal of writing this rather long message is to encourage you to ocntinue to be a soldier for the Lord.
As a result of my honest views, I am banned from Ellis website and blogs. it does not phase me though, because the Lord is still my light and my Salvation, whom shall I fear...?

Grace and Favor to you, your family and your ministry.

In Christ,

Sorry to respond so late Daphne:( I haven't been on my blog in months. I honestly had to many things going on but I am back now. I needed a break to refocus on some things but I greatly appreciate your encouragement sister. I pray that you will continue in the faith no matter what type of persecution comes your way.

Grace & Peace,

P.S. We do disagree though on President Obama.

Thank you for your love of the truth. I have recently departed a sister church of Mikel Browns in Delaware under Dr. Bill Roberts. Pray for me and my family as we still have people we love under this teaching.
Also how has it been seeing old church members out of church? do they treat you differently?

Hi Carlos,

I am so sorry that I am responding so late! I must say your comment brought such a smile to my face;) I have been praying for people to leave churches that are teaching false doctrine; especially at Christian Joy Center. My husband and I are so glad you and your wife left. God is so gracious in that He didn't allow us to fall away from the faith but has lead us to the true gospel. We haven't been in contact with anyone from CJC but the last communication we had was very negative. We were getting threats and just responses that were ungodly. What has your experience been like?

Grace To You,
Shatoyia Bradley
